AN IMPROBABLE DREAM
Dreams are an essential part of everyone's lives. Be it an illusion of brain while sleeping, or a real motivation that makes you stand up to your feet and conquer the world.
I, however; once had a mix of two.
So I ate the scrumptious "Rajma Chawal" my mother cooked for dinner and adjusted myself on my bed.
had I not fallen off the bed, I would have never realized that it was a disastrous dream.
So what I saw was a big throne, all gold, studded with diamonds, and I was the one, sitting on that luxurious throne, with a crown above my head. But I was all alone, and all around me was:
WATER.
Yes, I was in the middle of the sea. And I was half immersed in water. I could feel the coldness and dampness of the fluid up to my knees.
THAT WAS INSANE.
Suddenly a few seagulls flew towards me and started to fly around my head in circles. I looked at them a got scared as they began pinching and plucking my hair and then I screamed.
A real loud, scream.
Well, my mom at that time entered my room, flushed and amused to ask me if I am ok.
I was not, but replied in positive.
Being 18, having started college and living in a different city has made me strong. I am now, capable of doing a lot of things.
But I have learnt one more thing by this, that when you start to climb the ladder of success, a lot of people tend to pull you down, and during that journey, you are alone.
The dream I saw that day, almost 7 years ago, is now becoming a reality.
I live away from my people. Far away from family and friends, and this distance was depicted by the the sea in my dream.
I have done (not many) but a few things that I can name as "Achievements", and that throne and crown depicted that.
Most importantly, the enemies that I have made all these years, the worse- wishers (if that's a word) and the critics of my deeds and works can't be depicted in a more pellucid way than those seagulls.
I have seen a dream, an improbable one.
And yes, it has now become a reality.
